NYC Subway Wooden BlueBird(R33WF)
The R33WF Bluebirds were purchased for the 1964 New York World's Fair and only used on the Flushing Line. The bluebirds were blue intil the mid-1970's when they were painted white in an early deterrent to graffiti. Bluebirds were painted red to become Redbirds in the mid 1980's.
Only four restored R33WF's exist: three are with the NY Transit Museum with two in their original painted scheme and one as a Redbird; and one is in the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine.
NY Transit Museum's, "Train of Many Colors" used Bluebirds along with other historical cars in their original paint schemes.
