The industrial design firm Peter Muller-Munk Associates of Pittsburgh were the designers of the NYCTA's two-toned MTA logo in 1968. In 1994, Siegel + Gale rebranded the MTA, replacing the two-toned M logo with the letters “MTA” rendered in perspective within a circle.
